Just so all of the other Golden Girls fans out there are aware...sweet little Estelle Getty passed away today. My mom always watched these shows and I got hooked, too. All of us in college were big fans of the Lifetime reruns.
Here's a small little tribute to a neat little lady:

It was good to hear about your trip to McKinney with Lori...it just brought back old college memories!
I just saw earlier today that she died. I loved that show! My mom, sister and I would always watch it late at night. Sophia was our favorite, too! Now I have that theme song in my head...
I loved the golden girls. We used to always watch it on Wed night before we would leave to go to church...
I love that show too. She always kept me rolling.
it is really crazy (and of course completely random) that steve was in indiana that week and he called the day before she died to ask me what the 'old lady's name on the golden girls' was....
and so all of the gals from work that i was hanging out with got into like a 30 minute conversation about estelle getty! and then we found out she died the next day...anyway, random i know!!!
i LOVED that show!
